Starting salary £25,658 with the potential to rise to £43,130 within your first 7 years (these figures include a yearly £2,000 South East allowance).

These often include Detention Officers, Administrative Support, IT, Human Resources, Media, as well as roles within our Business Centre and some more specialist roles such as Investigating Officers. These could be based at Headquarters or local police stations.

Apprenticeships
Coming in 2022 is our Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), You don't need a degree to join as a police constable, but you will gain a degree in Policing while on the job!
Earn as you learn with three years on and off the job learning (two years Police training only if you already hold a degree).
We have worked with all the main organisations in policing to develop the new recruit training programmes. These will give probationary officers the best chance of reaching the level of expertise found in serving officers.
Have a fully recognised equivalent of a Uni degree once completed.
Our apprenticeship programme is currently being developed. Here you can find the initial details of what we are looking to offer. The programme will offer a great opportunity to work in a diverse and dynamic environment, gaining valuable job specific experience while earning a salary. Our apprentices will also work towards a recognised industry qualification.
Our apprenticeship programme will last between 18 to 36 months and there will be a number of roles available at locations across the county, depending on which route you choose to apply for. At the end of the apprenticeship, we would encourage our apprentices to apply for any roles that are available but cannot guarantee a permanent role will be offered.
